About the Pageant

The Sigma Chapter of Delta Zeta has hosted the Miss LSU Pageant since 1998.

The Miss LSU Pageant is the largest philanthropic fundraiser on LSU’s campus. Through the 2026 pageant, Delta Zeta donated $86,599 for their local and national philanthropies. Locally Delta Zeta supports The Emerge Center, St. Lillian Academy, and the Louisiana School for the Death and Visually Impaired. On a national level Delta Zeta supports the Starkey Hearing Foundation and SeriousFun Children’s Network.

The Miss LSU Pageant is designed to be a positive experience for all participants. We desire to help contestants sharpen their skills in health, fitness, beauty, poise and personal interview.  Many contestants say they enjoy the entire pageant experience no matter the outcome of the results.

Miss LSU is judged based on the USA pageant system; meaning each competition is worth the same amount and there is no talent competition. Contestants will be judged in four equal categories – Personal Interview, Swimsuit, Evening Gown and an On-Stage Question. We select judges throughout the Southern region of Louisiana. Judges can include celebrities, business professionals, and distinguished LSU alumni! There will be a total of five judges. In addition to crowning our Miss LSU, we award winners for the categories of Miss Congeniality, Miss Photogenic, My Miss LSU (audience/social media favorite), Swimwear, Evening Gown, and Interview.
